Education
As one of the larger firms of Chartered Accountants on the Island, we feel that we have the social responsibility to train and educate individuals, thereby retaining talents on the Island where they are so needed in today's market.
Chan Nowosad Boates values education. We have participated in the local School District 72, North Island College and other community-based career colleges on-the-job training programs. We are one of the two firms on the North Island now approved to train CA students with an unrestricted auditing designation.
Shelly sat on the North Island College Advisory Committee and has participated in the ICABC's Advance Certificate in Accounting Program by writing audit course material. We constantly encourage our staff to better educate themselves and have made it a mandatory requirement for our professional staff to participate in ongoing professional development and courses.
